Terms of Service

These terms are the agreement between you and Oririfam (“Oririfam”, “we”, “us”) for using the app and website. We've kept them in plain language. By creating an account or using Oririfam, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

Who can use Oririfam

Oririfam is for adults (18 or older). It is a tool for a parent or caregiver to reflect on their own parenting — it is nota service for children, and it is not designed to be used by them. You're responsible for everything done under your account, so keep access to your email secure.

What Oririfam is — and isn't

Oririfam is a quiet place to notice and mark the moments you parent differently than you were raised. It is a reflective wellness tool, not professional advice — not therapy, counseling, or medical, psychological, or legal advice, and using it does not create a professional or clinical relationship. It is also not a crisis service and cannot help in an emergency. Please read our disclaimer, which is part of these terms.

Your account and sign-in

Sign-in is by a one-time link sent to your email — there are no passwords. You agree to give an email address you control and to let us send you the sign-in links you request. If you think someone else has access to your account, contact us at hello@oririfam.com.

Your moments are yours

You keep ownership of everything you write in Oririfam. You grant us only the limited permission needed to store and process your moments to provide the service to you — for example, saving them to your private history and sending the words you write to our AI provider to generate your reflection. We do not sell your content, and we do not use it to build an advertising profile. How we handle your data is described in our privacy policy.

The reflections (how AI is involved)

The reflection you receive after each moment is written by an AI language model— it is a mirror, not advice, and it can be incomplete or wrong. The words you write are sent to our AI provider, Anthropic, solely to generate your reflection, and under their terms are not used to train their models. Use your own judgment, and seek a qualified professional when you need one.

Sharing a note with a caregiver

If you choose to share a note with a caregiver, you decide what goes in it and you can review and edit it first. An unlisted share link can be opened by anyone who has it, so only share it with people you trust — and you can revoke any link at any time. You're responsible for what you choose to share and with whom.

Using Oririfam responsibly

You agree not to:

• use Oririfam for anything unlawful, or to harm a child or another person;
• upload someone else's private information without the right to do so;
• attempt to break, overload, scrape, or gain unauthorized access to the service or other users' data;
• resell or commercially exploit the service without our written permission.

Availability and changes

Oririfam is offered as isand may still be early or evolving. We may add, change, or remove features, and we may suspend or stop the service, without notice where we reasonably need to. We try to keep it running, but we don't promise it will always be available or error-free.

No warranties

To the fullest extent the law allows, Oririfam is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied — including that it will be uninterrupted, accurate, or fit for a particular purpose. You use it at your own discretion and risk.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Oririfam and the people who build it will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any decisions you make based on a reflection or anything else in the app. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Indemnity

You agree to cover us for claims and costs that arise from your misuse of the service or your breach of these terms, to the extent the law allows.

Ending your use

You can stop using Oririfam at any time and delete your account from the app — this removes your moments from the live database, as described in the privacy policy. We may suspend or end an account that breaks these terms or puts others at risk.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Oririfam grows. When we make a meaningful change, we'll update the date above; continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [JURISDICTION], without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. (This will be finalized before public launch.)
