Privacy

Oririfam holds some of the most private things a person can write — the moments you're trying to do differently than they were done to you. This page explains, in plain language, what we collect, why, and who can see it. The short version: your moments are yours.

What we collect

• Your email address — so we can send you a sign-in link. There are no passwords. We never see or store a password.
• If you sign in with Google (optional — email sign-in is always available instead), we receive your email address and basic profile from Google, and nothing more. Choosing it means Google knows you use Oririfam; nothing you write here is ever shared with Google.
• The moments you log — what happened, the inherited reflex, what you chose instead, and the reflection generated for you, along with a small amount of structure (pattern tags, an emotional-charge estimate, timestamps).

We use Vercel Web Analyticsto see, in aggregate, how many people visit and return — it's cookieless, doesn't track you across other sites, and never sees the words you write. We do not use advertising trackers, and we do not build a profile of you to sell or target. There are no ads in Oririfam.

Who can see your moments

Only you. Your entries are stored under your account and protected at the database level by row-level security, so one account can never read another's data. Your moments are not shared with other users, and we don't read them except where strictly needed to operate the service (for example, investigating a bug you report).

The reflection (how AI is involved)

When you log a moment, the three things you write are sent to our AI provider, Anthropic(the makers of Claude), routed through the Vercel AI Gateway, solely to generate your reflection. Under Anthropic's API terms, your entries are not used to train their models. The reflection you receive is written by a language model — it is a mirror, not advice, and it can be imperfect. Sharing a note with a caregiver

If you choose to share a moment with a caregiver (a grandparent, nanny, or daycare), Oririfam helps you turn the moments you select into a short note in a tone you pick. You always see and can edit the note before it goes anywhere. You can share it as a downloaded PDF, or as an unlisted link — a long, unguessable web address that anyone holding it can open without signing in. That note contains only the moments and guidance you chose; it never includes your private reflections. You can revoke any link at any time from Profile → Shared with caregivers, after which it stops working. The full data export below remains the complete record.

Where your data lives

Oririfam runs on these service providers, who process data on our behalf:

• Supabase — hosts your account and your moments (authentication + database).
• Vercel — hosts the app and routes the AI request.
• Anthropic — generates your reflection from your entry, as described above.

These providers may process and store data on servers outside your country. Data is encrypted in transit. We choose providers that take security seriously, but no online service can promise perfect security.

How long we keep it

Some of what you write here — especially the inherited reflex, the thing you almost said or did — is among the most private a person can record. We treat it that way. We keep your moments for as long as your account exists, with no arbitrary expiry, so your history stays with you over time; we don't hold on to them once your account is gone.

From Your moments → Export my moments you can download everything we hold about you as a file at any time. Delete accountpermanently removes your account and every moment in it: your data is erased from our live database immediately and purged from routine encrypted backups within 30 days. Deletion can't be undone, so export first if you want to keep a copy. Prefer a human? Email hello@oririfam.com.

Children

Oririfam is a tool for parents and caregivers. It is not directed at children and is not intended for use by anyone under 16. We don't knowingly collect data from children.

Your choices

• Access a copy of your data, or correct it.
• Delete your account and all of your moments.
• Stop using Oririfam at any time — signing out ends your session on that device.
